Not yet a trending topic, likely not even close, but tweets from around the world have begun pouring in with the hashtag #NewNebraskaSlogan. And it appears a tweet around 7:15 p.m. from Tim Siedell of Lincoln, Neb.-based Fuse Industries, @BadBanana on Twitter, is at the genesis of it.
Siedell, whom Twitter co-founder Biz Stone once said was his favorite person to follow, has added four of his own to the stream. In addition to the orginal one above, he’s tweeted: “You Forgot About Us Again, Didn’t You?” “That Smell is Iowa” and “America’s Vast, Pasty Midsection“.

Hey, maybe this all a grand scheme to help our state give itself a new slogan, something recently proposed by the co-founders of another Lincoln creative shop, Archrival, in their talk “FLYOVER“. The most recent slogan introduced by the state’s tourism department was “Possibilities … Endless” in 2003.
For humor’s sake, let’s hope this hashtag doesn’t end anytime soon.
