Omaha Iowa dominates the events on the Priarie this week starting tonight with a product launch party for DSM Daily (left) and then continuing on Wednesday and Thursday, each day featuring an evening gathering. On Wednesday, there's also a BIZ Business Insights and Networking Luncheon. Outside of the Iowa events, Pecha Kucha Night will take place in Omaha on the Thursday, April 21. There's a nice variety of events happening on the Silicon Prairie this week. Things kick off tonight with Startup Drinks Des Moines and tomorrow there's a Business Innovation Zone luncheon with Dwolla's Ben Milne that should be a great startup event, as well. This week also sees the return of the annual Twestival, a global event which uses social media for social good. read more

Des Moines A quick reminder of Startup Drinks Des Moines tonight, the special "Thanksgiving Edition." It will be held at a new location, Saturday Mfg. (left, photo from saturdaymfg.com), a marketing agency. Located at 1717 Ingersoll Avenue, Bay #121, Startup Drinks will begin at 5:30 p.m. and run until 7:30. For the occasion, the folks at Saturday have promised a few cases of Olde Main beer and bottles of wine as well as a few snacks. read more
