Almost all startup founders at some point have to face the task of raising a funding round so their company can scale and grow. Naithan Jones, founder of AgLocal, has been through the process and come out alive—he’s raised $1.5 million so far. In his latest blog post, Jones shares his “20 rules for rookies raising a round,” which includes advice on coffee meetings, decks, investment windows and more. “There are few things that I have done as an adult that have been more physically and mentally stressful than trying to run the company and raise a round,” Jones writes. “Both times I gained a few more grey hairs and ten pounds of excess weight that I have to end up working off afterwards.” — Source: Naithan Jones’ blog
