Four more startups have come to play: Digital Sandbox KC last week announced that four more early-stage companies have received proof-of-concept funding. Briefcase, FanAddict, Innovative Health Media and Mi Zócalo join 15 other companies that have already received funding to be put toward specific needs that will get products to commercialization. Companies only remain a part of the program’s mentoring for as long as is needed to meet a defined plan. “There is no shortage of bright, creative entrepreneurs in Kansas City,” said Jeff Shackelford, director of Digital Sandbox KC. “Our goal is to help as many as possible get in business.” — Source: Digital Sandbox KC
