Des Moines About 75 members of the Des Moines startup community came out last night to help the Change team celebrate its latest accomplishment: surpassing 100,000 transactions on its point-of-sale app. "The turnout was great, the food was delicious," said Abbie Sawyer, communications coordinator at Change. Des Moines BitMethod is go for launch on its mission at Mars. Mars Cafe, that is. BitMethod, a Des Moines-based web and mobile app development shop, will celebrate the release of its new product, Change, with a shindig from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday at Mars Cafe. The event will also serve as a celebration of BitMethod's third birthday. BitMethod has worked with Mars, a Dogtown district cafe, during the development of Change, a restaurant and retail management system with an iPad-based point-of-sale.
