Iowa City Earlier this year, ClusterFlunk expanded its platform to more than 50 universities across the country. Now the company is growing its investor connections across state lines to the Windy City. The Iowa City-based startup announced Tuesday it closed a $1 million round of funding led by Chicago-based venture capital firm Lightbank. Local early-stage fund, Built by Iowa, also contributed to the round.  read more

Omaha 1 Million Cups Omaha is making a move to the Wareham Building, 1624 Mike Fahey St., in North Downtown this week. The startup presentation and networking event on Wednesday mornings is leaving the University of Nebraska at Omaha's Mammel Hall, where it began last October. Organizers hope the move will be more convenient and bring out more attendees. read more
