Self-described as an “entrepreneur, strategist, and catalyst,” Geoff is working hard to both contribute to, as well as tell the story of, the Greater Des Moines Community’s growth as a center of innovation. Geoff first joined SPN as a contributor in September 2009 expanding our coverage to Des Moines. He came on board full time as the company's first COO in January 2011. In addition to SPN, Geoff has a trendy furniture project called eggcrates and is the Co-Founder of VolunteerLocal, a provider of web-based software to recruit and manage volunteers at events around the country. When he has time, he helps organize events for Des Moines' entrepreneurial community like Barcamp Des Moines and DSM Startup Drinks.
