Thirteen-year-old education talent management company Netchemia announced today it has completed the acquisition of SchoolSpring, a Vermont-based online recruiting and application management provider.
While financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, the agreement includes the retention and integration of SchoolSpring’s entire 20-person team. Over the last year Netchemia has continued to grow its team, expanding from 40 employees at the end of 2012 to more than 75 now based in KC. In the last three months alone, the Prairie Village, Kan.-based company has added 12 new members to its team.
SchoolSpring not only provides application tracking software but also features an education job board service, handling more than 3.4 million applications and 140,000 job postings since the company was founded in 2000.
“SchoolSpring is a complementary fit, as we share the same values and a similar vision of how to positively affect student achievement,” Netchemia co-founder and CEO Carlos Antequera said in a press release. “Together, we believe we can have a greater impact on K-12 talent management, including sourcing, recruiting, hiring, developing and retaining the best teachers and school leaders.”
