Earlier this week Global Entrepreneurship Week president Jonathan Ortmans blogged about the rise of cities, and along with those cities, a move for more efficient and effective local policies about entrepreneurship. While tax break and legislative policies help, Ortmans stresses the key to a thriving city truly is a focus on cultural entrepreneurialism, drawing on communities like Chicago, which reportedly saw the launch of 367 startups in 2012. In October, Ortmans announced he would open a house in the Kansas City Startup Village for international entrepreneurs to experience what is happening in the city’s tech community. — Source: Entrepreneurship.org
