This week, two Ames, Iowa-based startups—My Online Camp and Tourney Machine—announced a strategic alliance in the hopes of better serving recreational sporting communities across the country.

Along with its current features, Tourney Machine, a web-based application that helps manage tournaments for youth sports founded in 2011, will now allow users to sign up for tournaments through My Online Camp’s registration system.

“The partnership with My Online Camp allows Tourney Machine to focus on our core initiatives—simplifying tournament scheduling and communication—while also responding to our customer’s requests to offer online registration to the tournaments that we serve,” Tourney Machine co-founder Rob Lynch said in a press release

Since the sports technology startups began collaborating last month, entrants in four tournaments have already been processed through My Online Camp, which launched in 2006 and now serves more than 1,600 athletic programs across the country.
