Lincoln-based Invest Nebraska announced today that it was involved with digital banking solution startup Lodo Software‘s recent $3 million round of funding.

The investment, led by Invest Nebraska and Treetop Ventures, will be used to finance sales and marketing efforts, develop new products and act as working capital for the Omaha startup. Earlier this year Lodo Software launched a new data-driven platform called D3 Banking, which has become the company’s signature product.

“According to a study by Google, one in six customers of financial institutions say they are leaving their bank or credit union because of a poor mobile experience,” said Lodo Software CEO Mark Vipond (right) in a press release. “D3 Banking provides a consistent user experience regardless of device and uses its data-rich analytics and categorization algorithms to tailor services to the specific needs of the customer.”

Over the past two years, the startup has raised more than $9 million through various investments. In 2011, the company announced its intentions to raise $5 million in Series D funding, and more recently, Lodo closed a $1.1 million round of debt conversion funding in May.
