As Launch KC celebrates its one-year anniversary, the tech and entrepreneurial communities are invited to spend an evening celebrating the program’s first year. The initiative launched last year and aimed to attract tech entrepreneurs and companies to the Crossroads Arts District and greater downtown Kansas City. Kansas City, Mo. mayor Sly James—one of the intiative’s key supporters—will be in attendance to help announce the winners of the Big Data KC hackathon and toast the first year of Launch KC. The free event will be held on Thursday, Nov. 21 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at The Bauer, 115 W. 18th Street in Kansas City. — Source: Eventbrite
