Kansas City biometrics startup EyeVerify has made it a long way—one of eight finalists from a pool of 283 entrants—in the U.S. version of Get in the Ring, but the company still needs one final push. To prep for the big night, the Kansas City Startup Village has put together a tailgate that runs from 5–6:30 p.m. tonight in the parking lot outside Kauffman Foundation. The startup will then do battle—a live stream will start at 6:45 p.m.—for prize money and the chance to travel to the Netherlands for the world final. Spots are still available for the tailgate, which begins in a few hours, either for free or $5 and $10 donations to help offset food costs. — Source: Eventbrite
