Two Silicon Prairie startups have seen 275 others from around the United States get knocked out. Now Kansas City, Kan.-based EyeVerify and Lincoln, Neb.-based Travefy are part of the final eight startups that lasted for the “Get in the Ring: The American Startup Clash” pitch competition. The final eight will be judged by a panel that includes Marc Ecko, Dell president Steve Felice and investor Lisa Gansky, live Nov. 18 in Kansas City at the Kauffman Foundation as the kickoff to Global Entrepreneurship Week. First place wins $10,000 cash and an expenses-paid trip to the Netherlands for the international final to secure potential angel investment from a pool of $1.3 million; second place will win $5,000 cash. — Source: Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation
