A new Google development is coming to Kansas City. In addition to the growing fiber network in town, a local Google Developer Group—one of 385 worldwide—will launch with an event at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, September 26, at Google Fiber Space. The goal of the group, according to the event’s site, is “to inspire local developers who are interested in Google’s developer technology by coming together on a regular basis to add all kinds of new tools to your developer toolbox.” The initial event will include discussions on cloud APIs and Fiber for developers, but there will be regular events long after Thursday—demos, talks, code sprints, hackathons. There’s already a waiting list for registration on Eventbrite, but tickets are free. If you don’t make it in, keep an eye out for future events. For more information, go to the GDGs website. — Source: Google Developers
