We are elated to announce that Dave Knox, chief marketing officer at Rockfish and co-founder of The Brandery, will be our keynote speaker for the second annual Silicon Prairie Awards event August 29.

Knox has transformed several brands through digital marketing at Rockfish and is currently helping to build the startup community in Cincinnati through The Brandery. Rockfish is a full-service digital innovation partner that drives business for some of the world’s largest brands, including Walmart, Banfield Pet Hospital, Ciscod, P.F. Chang’s and The Travel Channel.

The Brandery, a top 10 accelerator with a nonprofit model, provides startups with marketing and branding that would normally be reserved for major U.S. companies. It’s the first accelerator to offer this kind of support for startups.

So far, 11 of the 26 companies that graduated through The Brandery have stayed in Cincinnati as a result of the great support system and help with initial funding provided by the program.

Knox will join us on stage in Des Moines with a speaking history that includes South by Southwest, the American Express Innovation Summit and Web 2.0 Summit.

Hitch a ride to Des Moines

If you live in or nearby Omaha or Kansas City, we have a ride for you. We are offering charter buses to Des Moines that will leave late afternoon and carry you safely home after a fun-filled evening. Riders will be treated to a beer or two and have access to free Wi-Fi. The cost is only $10 per seat and spots are limited.
