Regional tech council KCnext on Tuesday announced the addition of three members to its board of directors, including Silicon Prairie News community builder Regan Carrizales.

Kevin McGinnis, senior vice president of product platforms at Sprint, and Kyle Mallot, vice president at DST Systems, also joined the board, which includes Greg Kratofil, a Polsinelli attorney who’s worked with several area startups.

KCnext’s mission is to grow the city’s existing base of technology firms, recruit and attract technology companies, aggregate and promote its regional IT assets and provide peer interaction and industry news, according to the release.

“Through our recruitment efforts over the last year we now have entrepreneurs, educators and medium and large industry employers represented,” Ryan Weber, KCnext president, said in the press release. “This also represents the depth of our membership and the tech industry of the Kansas City region.”
