On the Startup America blog earlier this month, Nebraska Global managing principal Steve Kiene said Startup Nebraska has “taken a very different approach to impacting (its) startup ecosystem” in comparison to other states. Kiene, one of four Startup Nebraska champions,* shared some of the questions the group posed to determine its focus. One question: “In the year 2020 … what percentage of the total startups since 2010 are still hiring, and hiring local people?” With these questions in mind, Kiene presented the group’s three focus areas: employee talent for startups, funding for startups and startup quality. — Source: Startup America
