With the addition of NFL vet and BowTie Cause CEO Dhani Jones, our lineup is nearly complete.

We’re excited today to add Sprint CEO Dan Hesse, a designer with ties to Dollar Shave Club and MySpace, a former NFL linebacker and a world traveling CEO to our Big Kansas City speaker lineup. These four individuals join more than a dozen leaders in the entrepreneurial and creative space who will be accessible throughout two and a half days in March.

Just weeks ago, former Big Series speaker Brad Feld credited our most recent conference for his introduction to attendee Ben Barreth. During the event, Feld heard Barret’s Homes for Hackers idea, and since then, he has bought a house in the Kansas City Startup Village.

The opportunities for speakers and attendees to connect like this happens frequently and we are excited for the collaborations and relationships that will take place at Big Kansas City.

If you haven’t purchased your ticket, make sure to do so soon. General admission tickets are available for $449 and special entrepreneur/startup discounted tickets are available for $299.

Dan Hesse, Sprint

Sprint is a hometown Kansas City company with a history of industry-leading innovation and a reputation for collaborating with a broad range of operators in the mobile ecosystem. Through its long-standing developer program and more recently, augmented efforts to guide and support startups, Sprint encourages and promotes entrepreneurial aspirations. We are grateful to have Sprint CEO Dan Hesse deliver the conference’s opening remarks.

Mike Macadaan, Science

@macadaan

As the co-founder and the resident ux/design guy at Science Inc, Mike advises and transforms companies like Dollar Shave Club, Uncovet and DogVacay. Through his work with the tech startup creation studio, he has helped create 13 startups in the last 18 months.

Mike is also the former vice president of user experience and design for Myspace and a maker for This Is Ground, the company that produces the clever tech accessory, Cord Taco. He will come to Kansas City with a heightened sense of design and appreciation for the creative process.

Dhani Jones, BowTie Cause

@dhanijones

If you're a sports buff, you'll know Dhani Jones as an 11-season NFL veteran. If you're a reality TV show fan, you'll know him as the star of Travel Channel's "Dhani Tackles the Globe." If you're a well-dressed entrepreneur, you'll know him as the founder of BowTie Cause, an organization that partners with different organizations to raise money through specially designed bowties.

When Dhani hits the stage at Big Kansas City, he'll present a flair for style and demonstrate how the ethics of entrepreneurship have impacted his journey.

Jamie Wong, Vayable

@JamieJWong

As the founder and CEO of Vayable, a community marketplace for travel experiences, Jamie has, to say the least, a world of experience. With an extensive background in disruptive media, advocacy and communication, she has worked with organizations like Kickstarter to NAACP Legal Defense Fund to The Daily Show.

We're excited to involve Jamie in the conference, because as a dynamic creative, she brings a passion to transform ideas that change the way people live.
