The Lean Startup Conference brings together innovators from startups and established companies alike to share lessons for building profitable lean organizations. A trip to the Bay Area isn’t a prerequisite for a prime seat to view the event. In six cities across the Silicon Prairie, Lean Startup enthusiasts are hosting official parties to watch a live stream of the event.

The Startup Ames Meetup is about educating, inspiring and connecting Ames area entrepreneurs. Each month will provide education and inspiration from experienced entrepreneurs in the community, followed by local startups pitching their ideas, companies, and challenges with a goal of getting feedback and ideas from the community audience. Kauffman Labs for Enterprise Creation created 1 Million Cups (1MC) as a simple way to engage entrepreneurs in the Kansas City community. Each week, the 1MC program offers two local upstarts an opportunity to present their companies to a diverse audience of mentors, advisors, and entrepreneurs.
