reddit‘s Internet 2012 Bus Tour, an effort to promote the Open Internet with a campaign-style road trip through the heart of the country, continues its surge across the Silicon Prairie tonight with a stop in Des Moines for the inaugural Iowa Internet Uncaucus. Tonight’s event, billed as “a caucus just for us” featuring “bipartisan ideas, loyal Iowans, and a form of civic engagement we can be proud of,” was spearheaded locally by the Des Moines Register and Dwolla. Several other area companies pitched in.
The Uncaucus kicked off at 6 p.m. on the Locust Street Bridge in downtown Des Moines. And, for those who can’t make it to the event, a live stream of tonight’s proceedings is available above, thanks to the good folks at the Register.
