Des Moines September 21, 2012 by Danny Schreiber

Andy Murray of Mercury 11 opens Thinc Iowa 2011.

Innovator or instigator. Entrepreneur or wantapaneur. Startup founder or startup fan. No matter how you identify yourself, we invite you to join us at Thinc Iowa 2012, our sixth conference on innovation and entrepreneurship.

The two-and-a-half-day event kicks off with an opening party at 8 p.m. on Oct. 9, which is just a little more than two weeks away.

Tickets still remain, with friendly discounts available for entrepreneurs, startups, students and non-profits. If you've held off buying your ticket until now, we encourage you to pull the trigger today.

One piece of feedback we got a lot after Thinc Iowa 2011 was that guests enjoyed a sitting experience that was less than optimal — that is, the chairs (left) were uncomfortable.

This year, we sought out the best for our attendees' derrieres, renting high-quality, padded metal chairs (above). They're the same ones we use at Big Omaha, so if you've enjoyed the comfortable seating — and overall superb experience — of Big Omaha with us before, expect the same at Thinc Iowa.
