Kick off the week right and join The Big Plate and Innovation Connect at a Startup Week Lincoln mixer.  Hear short but informative presentations on what these leaders are currently building in the community. The second Iowa Startup Fair is coming in early September. Startups from across the Iowa will set up informational tables in several regions to showcase their projects for an audience of business, investment, civic, and other community members. We’re starting the school year with back-to-school editions of the Startup Job Crawl, the event that brings talented college and university students together with the startup community to create powerful connections and discover opportunities here on The Prairie.

Lincoln Startup Week: Quick Pitch – Tuesday, 5:30 p.m.

Lincoln – The Starlight Lounge (247 N. 8th St, #101)

In order to keep the ideas flowing in the aftermath of the Startup Weekend experience, Invest Nebraska, the Lincoln Partnership for Economic Development, and PitchBurner have partnered to create the Startup Week Idea Pitch. Participants will have 5 minutes to share their idea to a panel of judges for a chance to win $1,000 in cash to help get their idea off the ground.

1MillionCups: Ruxter and Homes for Hackers – Wednesday, 9 a.m.

Kansas City, Mo. – Kauffman Labs (4801 Rockhill Rd.)

Kauffman Labs for Enterprise Creation created 1 Million Cups (1MC) as a simple way to engage entrepreneurs in the Kansas City community. Come peruse the local tech start-ups of Lincoln in the Haymarket and downtown areas. Visit the business, get a tour, talk with the entrepreneurs, and learn how their ideas turned into their careers.  For companies with virtual offices or distant locations, representing booths will be set up on the third floor of the Mill building at the corner of 8th and P. Get a map and get your crawl on.
