Pipeline, a Kansas City, Kan.-based regional entrepreneurial fellowship, today opened the application process for entrepreneurs interested in being part of its 2013 class.

A year-long program highlighted by intensive, three-day modules each quarter and an Innovator of The Year event in January, Pipeline takes entrepreneurs from from Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska and seeks to fill its classes with businesspeople that hail from a diverse array of industries.

Each year Pipeline invites a group of around 10 entrepreneurs to join the organization. After an extensive selection process, new members participate in a unique and rigorous yearlong entrepreneurial leadership development program. This introductory year leverages a national network of business advisers at the forefront of their respective specialties who engage deeply with Pipeline members, effectively extending members’ business networks nationwide.

Founded in 2006 for Kansas entrepreneurs, Pipeline announced in April of 2011 that it was expanding its geographic footprint. Pipeline’s current class, the organization’s first with participants from outside Kansas’ borders, includes five entrepreneurs from Missouri, four from Nebraska and three from Kansas.

“This first Regional class is quickly leveraging the network while developing their own entrepreneurial skills,” Joni Cobb, Pipeline’s president and CEO, said in a release. “The work they are doing together to support and connect each other is inspiring to all of us behind this Regional organization. We can’t wait to meet the next group to join our ambitious entrepreneurs.”

Applications for the 2013 class are due Oct. 29. Pipeline will conduct two rounds of interviews for the class in November and early December. The 2013 class will be selected in December and unveiled in January at Pipeline’s Innovator of The Year event.
