SPN Out & About: Visiting San Francisco August 1-3

San Francisco July 25, 2012 by Jeff Slobotski

Next Wednesday, Dusty Reynolds, the director of innovation and entrepreneurship for the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce, and I will touch down in San Francisco for three days of meetings with entrepreneurs and investors in the area.

Though we're based in the Midwest, it's important to continue conversations and develop new relationships with other key regions where startups take root and innovation takes place. Even with the ways technology keeps us connected, at the end of the day it's important to travel to, and meet with our friends in their own backyard

We'll be sharing the stories of what's happening in the Silicon Prairie, as well as strategize on ideas for continuing to increase the level of collaboration between San Francisco, Silicon Valley and what's happening in the heart of the Midwest. This will be our third such trip in collaboration with the Omaha Chamber, the most recent was one year ago to New York.

As with past coastal visits, we're excited to announce a meetup we'll be holding at 7:30 on August 2 at the Press Club of San Francisco. (You may recall the location from the recent Omahans & Expats Meetup during WWDC.) We hope you'll stop by and connect with other entrepreneurs and friends of Silicon Prairie News. To learn more or RSVP, see the event on Facebook.
