Fastpath Solutions caters to nearly 600 clients in more than 30 countries on six continents. And the Urbandale-based company, which makes auditing compliance software, does so while seldom leaving the comfort of its central Iowa home.
“We don’t ever see our customers,” Fastpath president Andy Snook said. “We don’t see clients unless we’re drinking beer with them at conferences.”

That arrangement made Snook uniquely qualified to deliver a talk at last month’s Business Insights and Networking Luncheon Series about how to build a successful remote sales model. Hosted by the Business Innovation Zone (BIZ) in Des Moines, the monthly luncheons feature speakers from the Des Moines community who have expertise in an area that’s applicable to people building high-growth and scalable businesses.
The BIZ website offers a synopsis of Snook’s talk:
Whether you wanted to sell across the country or around the world, Andy Snook (President of Fastpath) shares the perks and the perils of his remote sales model. His presentation covers traditional business planning modules (marketing, sales, support and administration) with a special eye to the impact of a wholly remotely-operated business.
