Omahans holding San Francisco meetup Monday, first day of WWDC

San Francisco June 10, 2012 by Danny Schreiber

The Press Club of San Francisco will serve as the Monday meeting place for Silicon Prairie people living in or visitng the city.

Following Apple's World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) opening day in Moscone West on Monday, Omahans and other Silicon Prairie people attending the event – or happen to find themselves in San Francisco for whatever reason – are invited to a meetup three blocks northwest at the Press Club of San Francisco (20 Yerba Buena Lane) from 6-9 p.m. PDT.

The event, "Omahans and Expats," is organized by Rahul Gupta, a California native who spent the last eight years in Omaha until moving back to the state in April.

"We can talk about things like how the Omaha Zoo is better than the SF Zoo," Rahul said on the event page. "Or how SF Hipsters compare to Omaha Hipsters. Or how much the Omahans wish we expats would come back."

To learn more or RSVP for the meetup, visit the event on Facebook.
