BIZ Luncheon Series: Christian Gurney on product build and launch

Des Moines May 3, 2012 by Michael Stacy

The Business Innovation Zone in Des Moines, led by Mike Colwell, holds a series of educational luncheons, the Business Insights and Networking Luncheon Series, for entrepreneurs in Central Iowa. Each event in the series features a speaker from the Des Moines community with either expertise or thought leadership in an area that's applicable to people working on building high-growth and scalable businesses.

In April, Christian Gurney of Torsion Mobile presented a talk entitled "Building and Launching a Product — Lessons Learned." Here's more on Gurney's talk, courtesy of the Business Innovation Zone's website:

Gurney's presentation … was intended for anyone in charge of bringing an idea to life. Among the insights Gurney provided were: staying focused amidst all the distractions, understanding that obstacles are overcome through the teamwork of a well-chosen team, and that decisive action is required even if (on occasion) it leads to mistakes.
