The Big Omaha 2012 Video Series presented by Microsoft BizSpark kicks off today with the opening remarks by our emcee, Antonio Neves of THINQACTION. In line with Neves’ welcome, this post serves as an introduction of the series: 18 videos featuring the 14 speakers and two special guests who took the stage at Big Omaha, an annual event to inspire, educate and connect entrepreneurs, especially those with an interest in the tech industry.

Neves’ remarks touch on the feeling of Big Omaha, the friendliness that was communicated through this year’s branding.

“Something about Big Omaha feels a little bit special, it feels a little bit different,” Neves said. “I think one of the reasons why this feels a little bit special, a little bit different for me is because it feels like home.”

Neves, who came in from Los Angeles for the event, said his personal relationships with the speakers, the use of their products or the reading of their tweets and blog posts prepared him to lead the event. And lead he did, asking questions during the audience Q&A, providing shorts recaps of the speakers’ messages and engaging the audience at every break.

Check out the video above to prepare yourself – just as Neves prepared the attendees – for the Big Omaha speakers in the coming days, and make sure to watch the closing of the video (tune in at 8:25), in which Neves introduces the Silicon Prairie News event tradition of giving each speaker a standing ovation as they take the stage.
