Developer-driven Iowa Code Camp coming to Cedar Rapids on May 5

Cedar Rapids April 26, 2012 by Michael Stacy

Iowa Code Camp, a free, daylong conference by and for developers, will return for a ninth go-around on May 5.

The event runs from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. at The Hotel at Kirwood (7725 Kirkwood Blvd. S.W.) in Cedar Rapids.

Code Camp's list of speakers includes several entrepreneurs who have been featured in the past on Silicon Prairie News. The day's schedule is filled with talks by developers on a variety of subjects, but at its heart Code Camp is, per its website, "All about the code."

More on the event, courtesy of that website:

We are looking for developers who want to tell other developers about cool things they are doing. Topics they really care about. If you are working with .Net, Ruby, PHP, Java, Rails, Python, SQL,and you want to tell other people about it, then consider submitting a speaking proposal.

Registration is open now and can be completed on Code Camp's signup page. For more information visit iowacodecamp.com or follow Iowa Code Camp on Twitter, @iowacodecamp
