Lyconic – Front-end Web Developer (Omaha)

Lyconic is a company of web application developers who love to build personalized, specific, and effective business solutions.

We’re working on our second version of a Schedule Management & Routing web application tentatively called the Guide Suite. Facets of that are Inteliguide and Patrolguide, among others, but those mentioned are the primary concerns of a contract that we’re currently working on. It’s our goal to sub-contract either an individual or an entity to come in and help us do some of the dirty work. We’ve already described much of what the task will entail by how we’ve engineered and architected our toolset. It’s just a matter of using that toolset to achieve our goals. That requires an aptitude for patterns programming using MVC, a sturdy knowledge of JavaScript and jQuery, and an understanding of underlying web and data technologies such as Ruby on Rails and Postgresql.

This opportunity is for a six month contract, but for interested parties… it could well translate into a hire if business is as good as we expect. I don’t want to make a commitment to that without knowing I can bank on that, so I’m not offering this as a for sure permanent full-time position.

If you have any other questions, please contact Aron at afilbert@lyconic.com
