Innovation Seminars: What in the hell are you talking about? – Tuesday, 12:30-1:30 p.m.

Lincoln – University of Nebraska Lincoln, 110 Jorgenson Hall (1400 R St.

This seminar series will give you several tools to make you more innovative and creative. This series is designed to change the way you think about business and engineering. Communicating ideas is a critical step in the process of innovation. The first step in good communication is to be clear. Too often a presentation or report fails to place the idea in a global context and too quickly moves into muddy details. Once your idea is clear, there are attributes that will make your idea more memorable or “sticky”. Sticky ideas are simple, unexpected, concrete, credible, emotional, and told as a story. (Also, catch this seminar at 6 p.m. at NET)

This session will end with Shane Farritor’s recommendations for giving a good investor pitch.
