Thinc Iowa: Photo booth fun from the opening party

Des Moines October 21, 2011 by Michael Stacy

At any given time Thursday night, roughly half the population of the Des Moines metropolitan area could be found in the phone booth photo booth at Thinc Iowa's opening party. Photo by Anna Jones and Ikonix Studio.

Give the photos from Thinc Iowa's opening party a once-over and you might mistake our conference on the common ground between corporations and startups for an event focused on the place where Clark Kent and Superman meet. That is to say, the phone booth was a busy spot at last night's opening bash.

An estimated 250 people joined the fun as we kicked off the inaugural Thinc Iowa with a shindig at the Des Moines Social Club last night, and at any given time 249 or so of those people could be found congregated in or near the phone booth photo booth. Anna Jones from Anna Jones | Art of Photography and Tom Woolery from Ikonix Studio were on hand to capture the images in the photo booth and everywhere else at the party. Take a look below for a sampling of their photos from last night.

Of course, last night's festivities were only the beginning. The party provided an energetic prelude to today's main event, for which you can find a schedule and live stream in our previous post, "Tune in here: Thinc Iowa live-streaming all day."
