Hurrdat Social Media, a Lincoln-based social media firm, held an open house last Friday to celebrate moving into new offices in the Haymarket in downtown Lincoln.

I caught up with the company’s founder and CEO, Blake Lawrence, before the event and asked him how the company’s Athlete Engagement Program, which we covered before its August launch, was doing. Lawrence told me that Hurrdat now has more than 100 athletes on the platform, with most from the NFL and some from the NBA, MLB, MMA and Olympic sports. Lawrence said that while the average online click-thru rate is .2 percent, Hurrdat’s endorsed tweets are averaging 1.2 percent on the initial campaign. Along with the new campaign, Hurrdat also has new team members. The company will add three interns this fall and recently hired a salesperson.

“The open house was a very successful event,” Lawrence said afterward. “We had around 75 business people, friends and family come through the office. It was a great opportunity to show off what we’ve got going at Hurrdat, as well as learn more about our Lincoln neighbors.” Below are some photos of Hurrdat’s new Haymarket offices. Lawrence’s desk looks out into the Haymarket. All desks and shelves in the office were custom-made by the Hurrdat team.

Guests at Friday’s open house enjoyed music, food and entertainment.

The entryway to Hurrdat’s offices features a wall with the company’s clients.

Hurrdat CTO Timothy Braun (right) explains the vision for Hurrdat’s Athlete Engagement Platform in the company’s “Idea Room.” Said Lawrence of the room, a 14×14 space with walls completely covered in whiteboard paint: “It’s my favorite room in the office, as it allows our staff to never miss out on an opportunity to visualize an idea.”

The Hurrdat team includes (standing, from left) CMO Austin Brown, account manager Whitney Wade, account manager Cammie Klitz, account manager Christian Brabec, account manager Krista Vogel, account manager Dani Burgess and co-founder and COO Adi Kunalic and (in front) Lawrence. “The night was a blast,” Lawrence said. “Hurrdat is a young, fun team and never misses an opportunity to relax and enjoy the success of having a growing startup business in the Silicon Prairie.”
