Startup Stories is part of the day-long “Innovation Expo” on entrepreneurship in Coralville.
Join us for a light breakfast and kick off the Iowa Innovation Expo with an engaging talk on “The State of The Silicon Prairie,” featuring Jeff Slobotski, the Founder and Chief Community Building officer of Silicon Prairie News. Technology Association of Iowa: Pitch and Grow at the Innovation Expo – 10-4 p.m.

Sixteen entrepreneurs at virtually any stage of the business life cycle will practice their pitch before a supportive “think tank” of industry experts and business savvy people and receive constructive feedback.

Entrepreneurs will pitch their business to a supportive group of peer CEOs, CIOs, business development experts, industry professionals and business-savvy people.  In return, they have a unique opportunity to receive constructive feedback on areas such as fundraising, value proposition, business plan, management team, sales/marketing/support and building strategy.

The Iowa Capital Investment Corporation’s “Iowa Seed and Venture Forum” – Wednesday, 1-4:30 p.m.

This Forum, hosted by the Iowa Capital Investment Corporation (ICIC), is part of Innovation EXPO 2011. Entrepreneurs will pitch their more-developed business ideas for investments to a panel of expert Seed and Venture Fund investors from across the state and country.
