2012 ACG Cup Kickoff Event – Monday, 5-7 p.m.

Omaha - UNO Thompson Center (6705 Dodge St.)

Please join us in kicking off ACG Nebraska's inaugural ACG Cup Event with an evening of cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, and networking. We encourage active members, prospective members, sponsors, university administrators, and faculty to all attend - and don't forget, guests are also welcome. This will be a great opportunity to spend an evening learning more about the ACG Cup and helping us to kickoff our inaugural Cup Competition. Pre-registration is required.

Pandora Radio and the Music Genome Project – Tuesday, 7 p.m.

Pandora Radio services 94 million American listeners, delivering them automatically and individually a steady stream of songs and tracks that match their musical preferences. In this talk, Dr. Nolan Gasser, the Chief Musicologist Emeritus of Pandora Radio and Architect of the Music Genome Project, discusses the innovative Pandora experience, as well as the broader story of how musicology and science (mathematics, physics, aural biology, neuroscience) combine to influence why we love the music we do.
