Zaarly has an interesting product, a talented team, connected investors, celebrity advisors and, as we wrote about earlier today, attention from the media. And as of Thursday, thanks to a recent contest on the Zaarly blog, they now have a rap song.

“Whatever you need you can find it here at Zaarly,” the chorus starts, “when I say I got it you know we ain’t playing are we. I tell ’em if they need me I’m just a call away, now my phone is blowing up almost a million times a day.”

Described by the Zaarly blog as the Eminem of Texas, the artist behind the Zaarly rap goes by the name May-Day, and the reason for the rap is a current contest by Zaarly to award an artist the opening act of Arizona State University’s GLOWfest on September 22.

“Whatever you need you can find it here at Zaarly, when I say I got it you know we ain’t playing are we.”

– May-Day

“Zaarly has teamed up with BroBible to give one musician the chance to open for Avicii and Chiddy Bang on September 22nd at ASU,” Katelyn Bogucki of Zaarly’s public relations team said in an email interview today. “There will be 5,000 people in attendance, so it’s a pretty big deal.

Bogucki said that several people have entered the contest thus far – Zaarly spotlighted five of them on its blog – but that few have been as socially active about the opportunity as May-Day.

“He’s been raising money for F Cancer to increase his odds of winning, and yesterday he released this rap via Twitter and YouTube to show his enthusiasm for Zaarly.”

So have the lyrics stuck? “It’s been a hit at our office – we never thought there’d be a Zaarly rap,” Bogucki said.

The contest is open through Sunday, and you can find more information in their announcement post: “WANTED: Opening Act for BroBible’s GLOWfest“.
