TAI announces 16 companies pitching at Thursday’s Pitch & Grow

The Technology Association of Iowa (TAI) today announced the presenters for Pitch & Grow 5, which will take place from 10:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday at the Des Moines Social Club (400 Walnut St.).

Entrepreneurs from the following companies are scheduled to pitch (when found, city and description added from company websites):

  • eDossea (Des Moines) – A cloud file sharing service for dental medical records
  • EvolSwing
  • Far Reach Technologies (Cedar Fall, Iowa) – Website design and web development, IT consulting, custom software development, database design and staff augmentation
  • fresk (Des Moines) – A company that designs, creates and implements unique interactive media solutions for businesses, non-profits and educational environments
  • Heavenly Hellos (West Des Moines) – Gives anyone the opportunity to “stay connected to the ones you love” after they have passed on through the use of “Keepsakes”
  • Introvio (Des Moines) – An introduction platform that connects people by way of personal recommendations and endorsements. 
  • Iowa Wildlife Center (Ames, Iowa) – Provides wildlife rescue, rehabilitation and research for central Iowa that is based on science, ethics and humane care
  • Little Giant Capital – A community of entrepreneurs and investors
  • Locusic (Des Moines) – An internet radio service that lets you discover local music and gives unsigned bands airplay in their local community
  • Pikuzone (Des Moines) – Parent-managed, safe email for kids.
  • Present.io (Des Moines) – Automatically extracts the relevant topics and tags from meetings, which means you can see for only the information you want, when you want it
  • ShareWhere (Ankeny, Iowa) – A location-based, event-sharing platform that gives friends advanced notification – weeks, hours or even minutes – before arriving at a venue or replying to an invite
  • Shoplr (Ames, Iowa) – Radar for discovering real-time offers from local businesses in your city
  • YouAnimator

The event will kick off with a Lunch and Learn panel, “Positive Lessons from Failure,” moderated by Christian Renaud of StartupCity Des Moines and featuring Mike Colwell of the Business Innovation Zone, John Jackovin of BuyerCompass, Matt Kinley of Equity Dynamics and Daniel Shipton of BitMethod.

Pitch & Grow entrepreneurial sessions will follow. Attendees are invited to stay for all or part of the day. Each event is also open to the public, and the TAI estimates events attract approximately 100 people, from business owners to innovators to students. Pitch & Grow events feature entrepreneurs pitching their business to a supportive audience that includes peer CEOs, CIOs, business development experts and industry professionals. 

Registration for the event is now open. Tickets cost $25 apiece and can be reserved on the event’s sign-up page.
