It was announced this morning that the fourth Startup Weekend Kansas City will be taking place November 11-13 at Cerner Innovation Campus.

If you’re unable to make it to Omaha’s event later this month, Sept. 16-18, make sure to put this one on your calendar and consider attending. At Startup Weekend, small teams of developers, designers and business people work for 54 hours to take an idea from concept to prototype, ending with a pitch competition with judges that deems one team the winner of the event.

In April, CraftWig, an online community for crafters that offers in-depth tutorials, shopping lists, price comparison and sharing, finished first among the eight teams that participated.

The organizers of the event, Steven Chau and Adam Coomes, plan to put tickets on sale in the coming weeks. Stay tuned to Startup Weekend KC on Twitter, @SWKC, for the announcement.
