It just so happens that we’re celebrating Silicon Prairie News’ third birthday with a lil’ ice cream social shindig starting at 4 p.m. Friday, and we we we want you to be there. And yes, we we we so excited.
But we can’t start partying, partying, (yeah!) without a little help from you. Since we’ll have the ice cream and I’ll be handling the traditional “Intern Scooping Service,” we encourage you to BYOICT (that is, Bring Your Own Ice Cream Toppings). I don’t want to make any promises, but a summer and a half at the good ol’ TCBY back in my high school days may have you in for a treat. Watch out for some killer scooping technique.

To complement the sweet eats and a variety of appetizers, we’ll also be serving up some healthy competition. Feel free to bring along lawn games and, obviously, your ‘A’ game.
Also, consider this post your invitation to participate in our live studio audience for this week’s Weekly Wrap-Up. At the party, Jeff and Dusty will host a special birthday edition of the show — its 100th episode, no less — and you’ll want to be here early to make your cameo.
Speaking of shows, you may have noticed the evolving backdrop Geoff Wood, master of Prairie Cast ceremonies, continues to unveil on his show. If you have a knickknack or suggestion you’d like to see sit amongst Mr. Wood’s many (leather-bound) books, tomorrow will be your chance to add something to his collection.
Finally, the past two years we’ve held contests and giveaways involving our mascot Analog (Left, stuntin in preparation for tomorrow. Photo by Michael Stacy) and for this party we’re upping the ante. Whoever brings along the most clever prop for the furry fella will receive a special prize and of course, an extra scoop (or twelve) of ice cream from yours truly. See you all tomorrow!
