‘Tis the season for BarCamps.

Last week, we announced BarCamp ICR scheduled for August 13. This week, it’s an announcement for BarCamp Omaha. Now in its fourth year and third consecutive year at Nomad Lounge, BarCamp Omaha will kick things off with an opening party on Friday, September 9 and an all-day event on Saturday, September 10.

BarCamp Omaha follows the nation-wide unconference format bringing together techies, creatives and entrepreneurs for a day of talks, discussions and collaborations. The format, unconference, means that when attendees arrive the day’s schedule is a blank slate and anyone is free to add their solo talk, panel or discussion group to it.

Just over 200 tickets are available for BarCamp Omaha, and at a cost of $10 each ticket includes admittance to the event, souvenir T-shirt, drinks at the opening party, breakfast, lunch and beverages and snacks throughout the day. Between the cost of the ticket and support from sponsors, BarCamp Omaha is able to put on the event, which is organized by Eric Downs of DownsDesign, Megan Hunt of Princess Lasertron, Matt Secoske of Nimblelogic and our very own Dusty Davidson of Silicon Prairie News and Tripleseat.
