We are currently looking for a Director of Technology.
- Leads Heartland Family Service in analyzing and identifying solutions to business needs by working with internal customers and considering different alternatives which correspond to each business need.
- Solves Technical and business-related problems by designing and developing computer solutions, telephony solutions, and logical procedures, while considering limitations for equipment, operating time constraints, budget and desired results.
- Consults with telephone, software & hardware vendors, and other IT professionals to solve system software and hardware problems within the agency.
- Assists with management and maintenance of the agency’s websites and the intranet.
- Presents solutions to management on identified projects with cost estimates, timelines and all other considerations.
- Manages projects to completion within established time and budget. Maintains the overall project plan and schedule and provides ongoing monitoring of project’s activities.
- Assists in developing and implementing ongoing training in supported software applications and telephone systems.
- Stays abreast of industry trends and advises Heartland Family Service leadership of significant trends that may affect their operation.
Eight Seven Central – Web Developer (Des Moines)
Eight Seven Central is a custom screenprinting and design company.
Eight Seven Central is looking for a web developer. Responsibilities to include:
- Work hand in hand with clients and designers to develop rich internet applications using a php framework and/or Ruby on Rails.
- Develop and present mockups and prototypes while working against aggressive schedules
- Get work done independently without much oversight.
- Write clean and beautiful code.
Torsion Mobile – Developer (Des Moines) – Startup Job!
Torsion Mobile is a firm building tools for marketing, design and web professionals to create mobile websites.
As a developer at Torsion Mobile, you will help design, develop and implement our new mobile website creation solution codenamed “Project M” (catchy, right?). We need experienced PHP developers. We would also like candidates to have some experience with an object-oriented PHP MVC framework. Experience with jQuery or backbone.js would be beyond awesome.
