Life Equals looks to create a better world one ‘better you’ at a time

We live in an age of energy drinks. Red Bull, 5-hour Energy or insert your energy drink of the week here have been proven and sometimes disproven to help languid geeks stay awake in the wee hours of night hacking away on the next big thing.
What we sometimes misunderstand is that a boost of energy doesn't necessarily make up for a lack of focus. This common misconception can leave discomfort when an all-nighter doesn't result in a productive night. So how can geeks find both energy and focus without the jittery aftermath of sugar and calories from energy drinks?
Kyle FitzGerald and Graham Ripple in early 2009 started Life Equals with that question in mind. The Kansas City-based company will celebrate its official launch with a party at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at The Cashew (2000 Grand Blvd.). Life Equals, founded on the basis of "a better you creates a better world," provides a herb-blended product called LIFE=Focus+Energy. As the name suggests, Focus+Energy is a supplement that contains B-vitamins, herbs and amino acids and, as mentioned on the Life Equals website, "assists your mind and body with focus and energy." Focus+Energy contains no sugar or calories and is designed to eliminate sudden energy crashes.
"A better you creates a better world," is the two-fold slogan for Life Equals. Though Life Equals makes products that help its customers, the company also provides multivitamin supplements to undernourished children through its LIFE=LIFE project. In partnership with Vitamin Angels, Life Equals provides multivitamins to undernourished children for every purchase of a Life Equals product.
