As we roll into the new week following last week’s amazing Big Omaha festivities, we wanted to pause to share a few thoughts with you.

First off, thank you! Thank you for supporting what we’ve built over the course of the last three years culminating in Big Omaha 2011 where over 600 people came in from over 20 states and three countries. Six-hundred individuals who now have returned home with the inspiration, energy, drive, motivation and vision to change their part of the world.

We’re humbled and completely blown away by the overwhelming response from those who were a part of the event and hearing how each of the speakers made an impact on the way they perceive things, giving attendees motivation to launch the idea they may have been dreaming of.

Thank you to each and every one of the amazing speakers who took time out of their busy schedules, away from their family and friends, to compose and deliver dynamic presentations and then spend time meeting and hanging out with the attendees.

Thank you to all of our sponsors, without their involvement, we wouldn’t be able to bring such a dynamic experience to those who participate. It means a great deal to have each and every sponsor on board for the event to lend their brand, support and backing to what we’re doing.

Thank you to the exhibiting artists who brought a unique and memorable experience to our attendees. Whether that be through a game, cartoon, photo booth, musical performance or wall installation, you sparked ideas, conversation and collaboration that will lead to great things.

Thank you to all of the volunteers who put in countless hours leading up to, during and after the event making sure everything was in place, to make sure no details were overlooked and by doing so, the feedback from attendees was amazing.

Even though it’s only been a few days since we’ve said goodbye at this year’s event, continue the energy, drive and inspiration in pushing ideas forward, and we look forward to continuing to build the community and entreprenuerial ecosystem far and wide.

In the weeks to come, look for more post event coverage including a media wrap up, additional stories as well as the videos from each of the speakers at Big Omaha.

Again, thanks to each and every one of you for the way you encourage and inspire us at Silicon Prairie News!
