We’re excited to announce two amazing speakers to the slate for Big Omaha: United States Chief Technology Officer Aneesh Chopra and Startup America Partnership’s Erich Broksas.

Chopra, who serves as an assistant to President Barack Obama and associate director for technology within the Office of Science and Technology Policy, will speak on the administration’s innovation agenda. Following his presentation, he will field questions in a townhall-style discussion facilitated by technologist and blogger Robert Scoble.

In his position, Chopra cultivates ideas and promotes government-wide coordination for the President’s technology agenda. President Obama has said Chopra’s role as an agent is to “promote technological innovation to help achieve our most urgent priorities – from creating jobs and reducing health care costs to keeping our nation secure.”

Broksas (left) is a senior vice president at the Case Foundation and serves as the partnership development lead for the Startup America Partnership. With a deep business background and experience in several entrepreneurial environments, Broksas is focused on working with corporate partners to develop meaningful commitments that will help Startup America entrepreneurs smartly grow and scale their companies.

Hold on, folks … we’re beginning the count down now. All systems go!
