Zaarly, the proximity-based, real-time, buyer-powered marketplace born out of Startup Weekend Los Angeles this past February and now with significant offices in Kansas City, released a new and enhanced web presence on Friday. Previously, the startup was collecting emails for future launches in a series of city-specific standard LaunchRock landing pages, such as Omaha, omaha.zaarly.com, and Kansas City, kansascity.zaarly.com.

The new website, which is now only zaarly.com, allows users to register their interest from any city, not just the ones previously designated. Additionally, the website includes a directory of Facebook pages and Twitter handles for would-be featured "Zaarlytowns" across the United States. As of today, there were nearly 150 cities listed.

On the Silicon Prairie, those communities include Des Moines and Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Omaha and Lincoln, Nebraska, Kansas City in Missouri, Wichita, Kansas and Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

On Zaarly's Facebook pages, a "May 2011" launch date in the iPhone App Store and Android Marketplace was revealed. Last month, Zaarly was released for a limited time as web-based only app to draw in and test the concept with the attendees of South by Southwest.
