KANEKO: Portals this Thursday, Undivided Lives on April 29

KANEKO, an open space for open minds that nurtures and promotes creativity in the arts, sciences, and philosophy as well as our venue partner for Big Omaha, has two upcoming events to get on your radar. The first, happening this Thursday, April 21, will be a public preview for a multi-media performance project titled Portals. Here's information on the event from the registration site:
The KANEKO Experimental Studio announces a public preview on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 7:00 pm at 1111 Jones Street. The project will explore the theme of human longing for connection in the digital age and the relationship between live and digital performance arts incorporating music, dance, spoken word and film.
The April 21st preview will include musical performances by acclaimed violinist Tim Fain and pianist/composer Nick Britell, recently captured film footage from the projects film maker Kate Hackett demonstrating the concepts multi-media element and a public conversation about the work.

The second event, Undivided Lives: A Conversation About Career and Creativity, will be taking place on Friday, April 29, the opening day of this year's Berkshire Hathaway Shareholder Annual Meeting weekend – the event includes future KANEKO art exhibitor and Berkshire manager Standford Lipsey of the Buffalo News. A public panel discussion Undivided Lives: A Conversation About Career and Creativity will add to the exhibit opening festivities on April 29 from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. The psychologist, writer and CEO of the Apogee Group, Roger Fransecky, will lead the panel. Fransecky founded the Apogee Group a global management consulting and leadership development organization in 1995.
Joining Roger Fransecky on the panel will be:
