Mike Colwell, director of the Business Innovation Zone in Des Moines, holds an educational luncheon for entrepreneurs across central Iowa. Called the “Business Insights and Networking Luncheon Series,” each luncheon features a speaker from the community with either expertise or thought leadership in an area that’s applicable to people working on building high-growth and scalable businesses.

Colwell recently started capturing these presentations on video and providing them as a resource online. He’s also agreed to share them with the larger regional community here at Silicon Prairie News.

Colwell also runs day-long seminars multiple times throughout the year, including one in March called Raising Capital for Your Business Start-up: How to Successfully Plan for Investment in Your Business.

Paul Juffer, a senior partner at LWBJ Financial, was one of the seminar’s presenters. In the video above, Juffer gives his talk on the types of capital available.
