If you want a chance to be a part of the next Zaarly or LaunchRock, you should sign up to attend Startup Weekend Kansas City.

The event will break up developers, creatives and business people into small startup teams and enable them to launch a product in just 54 hours. The aforementioned companies were both launched at Startup Weekend events — Zaarly in Los Angeles and LaunchRock in Philadelphia.

Startup Weekend Kansas City takes place April 15-17. Tickets are available at the Startup Weekend Kansas City site and cost $60 for participants and $15 for folks just wanting to watch the companies demo their products on Sunday night. Food and drinks are included for participants and demo watchers when they are present for the event.

Think Big Kansas City is hosting Startup Weekend Kansas City at its bizperc co-working space (1800 Baltimore). We’ve talked before about how this space is a perfect venue to create, inspire and execute on cool tech projects. Silicon Prairie News will be there to document the weekend and keep everyone up to date on the event, but if you’re in the Kansas City area, we encourage you to forgo our coverage to attend the event live — as long as you promise to log on later.
