Mike Colwell, director of the Business Innovation Zone in Des Moines, holds an educational luncheon for entrepreneurs across Central Iowa. Called the “Business Insights and Networking Luncheon Series,” each luncheon features a speaker from the community with either expertise or thought leadership in an area that’s applicable to people working on building high-growth and scalable businesses.

Colwell recently started capturing these presentations on video and providing them as a resource online. He’s also agreed to share them with the larger regional community here at Silicon Prairie News.

This month’s presenter is Ben Milne, CEO and co-founder of Dwolla, and his topic was “cultivating a startup that attracts attention.” Dwolla, based in Des Moines, is a web-based cash exchange platform.
